The management people are nice as long as you don't ask them to do anything, but the second you request anything - they will never get back to you. Forget about getting your security deposit back, the only way that will happen is if you take the property manager to small claims court (I personally knew 2 people in the building, as well as myself who had to do this).
The building is infested with woodlouse bugs and spiders, always keep a can of Raid in your apartment. The property manager has also put mouse traps throughout the building - I never saw any mice, but they must be there if there are mouse traps.
The heat and hot water frequently didn't work, not to mention the heat in the building is turned off for the summer starting May 1st - it is not always that warm at the start of May, but it doesn't matter how much you complain, the heat won't come back on until October.
If you need any maintenance, don't hold your breath. The bedroom door in my apartment was broken the entire time I lived there, but it was never fixed despite my complaints.
Although the rent is pretty cheap, honestly find somewhere better, even if you have to pay a bit more, it will be worth it.
