Management does all it can not to resolve maintenance issues if they can avoid it. Heaven forbid they have to spend money to get something working properly. Be prepared do your own shovelling when the snow comes.

Don't rent here! You will regret it within a year.

As far as the property on Old Ferry Road here's a few things you may see upon viewing an apartment:

-VCT tile flooring, casework, and hardware that haven't been updated since circa 1960's.

-tiny windows with barely any light (at least on ground level).

-One coin-op washer/dryer for the entire building and only accessible during certain hours. $2 wash, $2 dry.

Here's some issues you didn't see in a viewing that you will most likely soon encounter if you choose to rent:

-The kitchen drawers barely open in the summer when the wood is warm

-Those small windows let even less light in during the winter, as the cloud exhaust for the oil tank room covers what little view you did have.

-The building's plumbing is not designed to handle everyone's water AND the laundry room...so sometime a massive amount of laundry suds may spew from your toilet like a play-doh press and there's nothing management will do about it. You will also get old chunky food-scrap dishwater gurgle back up into your sink (even when you didn't have dishes to do that day.)

-The bathtub is finished with a paint coating...which will eventually peel up.

-The ceiling in the bathroom has been painted over years of nicotine build-up, that will seep through and drip every-time you take a shower (yes with the exhaust fan on- it's automatic.)

-giant hairy brown spiders and lots of them. Buy your own traps...Management will tell you there's nothing they can do on a ground level apt. to stop them.

-Sllverfish too, even if you have every bit of food in your pantry sealed in a tupperware container

-The sliding closet doors will never slide properly - even when you have Management fix them, as their hardware is not compatible with the concrete subfloor.

-Every time it rains the carpet will smell like cat urine (I don't have a cat.)

-My rent has gone up $40 within the past 2 years.

-Laundry has gone up 0.75 cents a load within the past 2 years.

-Good luck actually finding an open spot in time to use the laundry facilities. If you do, it will be right after someone has put their clothes in the dryer, and be sure someone will take your clothes out of the washer next so they can get in line too.

-The baseboard heaters in the wintertime will pop and crack and creak so loud that it will take you a couple of months to learn how to sleep through it.

-the sink in the bathroom won't stop dripping, even after reporting it.

-Pretty sure there's water coming into the ceiling in the bathroom

-They will ask you to move your car so they can plow when it snows...when you do, you will come back to find 12" of snow in your spot and a plow-bank behind it. They will tell you it's your responsibility to dig it out yourself.

-Don't knock on the Super's door if you have a problem! You will get yelled at! Call instead. If they don't answer, your on your own. If you have a problem (especially on the weekend) expect about 3 days before you actually get to tell someone about it. The new super is a joke. I haven't been able to figure out what exactly they get paid to do just yet. At least the old super would answer the door and listen to your issue.

Oh yeah, and if you have all of these issues and ask to maybe have something done about it - you will be bullied by Urchin Management to find somewhere else to live.
